1. What to do when an ATM does not dispense cash, but the amount gets deducted?
Step 1: Inform the issuing bank or co-branding partner about such a transaction via the Customer Support Centre or E-mail.
Step 2: Retain the transaction slip until the issue is resolved, as it details the date and time of the transaction, which are necessary when filing out the complaint form.
2. What to do if ATM dispenses only the partial amount rather than the entered amount?
An ATM partial disbursement may occur due to ATM hardware issues or malfunctioning.
If the cardholder does not receive proactive credit or reversal from the acquirer, the issuing bank can initiate a chargeback based on the cardholder’s complaint.
